The Horsewoman badge was introduced in 1911 by
the name of Horsemanship. This changed to
Horsewoman in 1914.
For many years, it depicted a spur:

In 1970, the design changed to a horseshoe, not to be confused with the earlier Friend to Animals badge, which remained until 1982:
The badge was discontinued briefly, but was back in 1987 with a new design:
This design remained until the badge was renamed Rider in 1995.
